David R. Evans is a Republican politician who formerly served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives. When Representative Jay Hottinger resigned from the Ohio House in 1998 to take a seat in the Ohio Senate, Evans was appointed to serve out the remainder of his term. He was elected to his own full term in 1998, and reelected in 2000,[1] 2002, and 2004.[2]
In 2006, Evans was term limited and unable to run for another term. With Hottinger also term limited from the Senate, he again returned to the House, succeeding his own successor. Evans subsequently retired from politics altogether.
